Globalization and the U.S. Economy

Global Economic Forum, a two-day conference, is a unique opportunity for educators to examine the phenomenon of globalization and its continual impact on the U.S. economy.
- Day One will feature St. Louis Fed economists Kevin Kliesen andChris Neely, who will discuss current trends in globalization, and how the increase in global trade impacts budget and trade deficits. In addition, participants will engage in interactive lesson demonstrations and will receive teaching resources to apply conference content in the classroom.
- Day Two will feature Federal Reserve economists, lesson applications, as well as videoconferencing collaboration among the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas, Kansas City and St. Louis. One of the featured economists will be St. Louis Fed economist Subhayu Bandyopadhyay who will discuss recent research in the areas of globalization and terrorism. Don't miss the opportunity to exchange views with colleagues from across the nation.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.
