The HMLC Summer Teacher Institute will be held June 17-20, 2018 on the Webster University Campus and is designed for middle and high school educators from a variety of disciplines, who currently teach, or are contemplating teaching about the Holocaust. Educators will learn about rationales, guidelines, strategies and approaches to teaching this complex subject. Presenters include Holocaust experts from Washington University in St. Louis, Webster University and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In addition, they will have the opportunity to hear survivor testimony and visit the St. Louis Holocaust Museum & Learning Center. Registration will be limited to 25 participants to ensure effective community building and collaboration.
The registration fee is $125 and low cost affordable housing at Webster University will be available for those coming from districts outside of St. Louis.
