Virtual Discussion of "How the South Won the Civil War"
In order to continue to address hard history throughout our school curriculum and public history spaces, MOCHE will offer a series of Virtual History Education Community events to discuss Heather Cox Richardson's "How the South Won the Civil War: Oligarchy, Democracy, and the Continuing Fight for the Soul of America."
This book discussion is designed to correspond to MOCHE's Annual Conference, which will be held virtually from October 14th to 16th; Dr. Richardson is the keynote presenter on Thursday, October 14th, at 5:00pm. Registration can be completed through MOCHE's website.
We will offer three sessions to discuss sections of the book via Zoom. If you are interested in attending any or all of these evenings, please complete this Google Form. A Zoom link and a list of initial questions will be sent to all those who register. Membership in MOCHE is not required to sign up for these discussions; we encourage you to invite colleagues and interested friends.
